DAY 1: SAN JOSE

We will pick you up at the airport and take you to the Grano de Oro Hotel in San Jose. It is a true oasis sanctuary in the heart of the city. Our guests will be delighted in the calm atmosphere surrounded by plants and tropical flowers in the hotel. Additionally, they can relax outdoors in our terrace with 2 Jacuzzis. Here, you will stay in standard rooms. The bedrooms are cozy, have a queen bed and a private bathroom with shower. Most of them come with a bathtub.

DAY 2: TORTUGUERO (PACHIRA LODGE)

This day, in the morning between the 6:45 and 7:00 a.m., a representative from the Pachira Lodge will transfer you to the beautiful zone of Tortuguero. The trip has plenty of beautiful landscapes that you will see while passing through the National Park Braulio Carrillo. Then, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Restaurant in Guapiles. We will continue driving until we get to the town of Matina. While on board, we will enjoy 2 hours through the channels and serve you delicious tropical fruits and fresh water. Once at the lodge, enjoy a delicious lunch. The adventure begins.

ZONA DE TORTUGUERO

For this day, we have prepared different tours to take you through the small channels and long walks in the tropical forest of the National park, where nature lovers will be able to observe not only the virgin forest, but also many species of birds, mammals, and reptiles. Most adventurers cannot miss the opportunity to go on a trip to the Tortuguero Hill. All of our boats that sail by small channels are equipped with electrical motors so that you can enjoy the nature to the maximum. The package includes lodging, food, and the $7 park fee that is paid on the boat tour day.

DAY 3: TORTUGUERO

Pachira Lodge is located in the northeastern area of the Caribbean Coast in Costa Rica, on a sand bank between the channels of Tortuguero and the Caribbean Sea; an excellent location that offers direct access to the beautiful beach and channels. Nested in the tropical forest, it is the perfect hiding place for nature lovers and to discover the wonders of the Tortuguero National Park . The lodge is a property of 15 acres located in front of the ocean at the right end of Tortuguero. It offers beautiful lagoon views and its channels.

PACHIRA LODGE: Today, you will have a tour by boat to the Tortuguero channels and will visit the Hill of Tortuguero. Food included

DAY 4: ARENAL

Today you will enjoy a delicious breakfast and after that, you will be transferred by boat to the wharf. We will continue traveling by land until we arrive in Guápiles. Around 1:30 p.m., you will be transferred by an interbus to the North of the country, directly to the Arenal Volcano.

DAY 5: ARENAL

Breakfast included. This day, you will enjoy a full day of activities including the suspension bridges and a long walk in the park. (It does not include lunch).The Arenal Volcano initiated its activity in July of 1968. Since then, the gas discharges are constant, aqueous vapors and explosions with emission of materials. Sometimes the explosions are accompanied by strong rumblings.

The ash is carried by the wind and transported long distances especially towards the areas located to the northwest of the volcano. The greatest and heaviest materials fall near the crater. The lava flows constantly above the 1,000 degrees Celsius.

DAY 6: MONTEVERDE

Breakfast at 7:45 am at hotel. Today we will leave to Monteverde, one of the few cloudy forests that are in the world, habitat of the shining Quetzal and bird Bell among others. During the way they will be able to observe the rich vegetation of this place. When arriving at Monteverde you will stay at the The Stable Hotel, with deluxe, comfortable rooms, TV, cable, hair drier, telephone and general facilities including tempered swimming pool, jacuzzi, canopy (optional) restaurants, lake and a cozy atmosphere. DAY 7: MONTEVERDE

Breakfast in the restaurant of the Hotel.
